Gerald James Pease

Gerald was born in Minneapolis to William J Pease and Irene (Moran) Pease. Gerald enlisted in the US Army in 1970 and served in Vietnam. He studied at the U of MN before moving to Forest Grove, Oregon where he earned a Doctor of Optometry degree from Pacific University. At school he met the love of his life Frances (Frankie) Yost and they married in 1974. He worked as an optometrist in Oregon until 1991 when he and his family moved to Minnesota where he continued to practice until his retirement in 2010. Gerald loved camping, traveling, woodworking, and spending time with his family. He achieved late in life his dream of owning a lake cabin.

Gerald was preceded in death by his parents William and Irene Pease; sister Cathy Kolosky, and brother Timothy Pease. He is survived by his wife Frances (Yost) Pease; his son Dustin Pease; daughter-in-law Bridget Rach; granddaughters Stella and Margot Pease; brothers Dennis Pease and Martin Pease; sister Jan Volk and many nieces and nephews.

A private service will be held on January 4th at Gearhart Funeral Home in Coon Rapids with burial to follow.
