Eugene was passionate about the floral industry and has been a mentor and leader for over 45 years.
Born in Detroit, MI, on March 24, 1955, his family moved to Rose City, MI when Eugene was a boy and he loved the ‘Up North’ life. Eugene was also passionate about beer! When friends ask what his favorite beer is, I would answer, “Cold”. He was a guys guy and had a bunch of buddies that loved to hang out and do ‘8 oz. curls’ while tipping one back.
Eug had a saying for anything such as, “It takes a big dog to weigh a ton” or, “Start from the beginning”, there are too many to list! One of his favorite things to do was go to old car shows and drive his ’72 Nova.
Eugene was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Eugene Sr. and Barbara Brunk; sister, Irene Dennis; and buddy’s Dave, Ed, Kurt and Duane.
Since Eugene wasn’t a fan of funerals or funeral homes, we will not have a formal service. We will have a celebration of life “Eugfest”, this summer at his home. Eug loved a good party, so everyone is invited. Cathy will let everyone know the date.
Tell your family and friends that you love them, hug them tighter, and cherish time with loved ones. Tomorrow is not promised, live for today and get your damn Covid vaccine!
