Daniel James “Dan” Sweet, age 65, passed away on October 21, 2024, shortly after being diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. Born on February 7, 1959, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, Dan was the beloved son of Juanita and Jim Sweet, a devoted father, cherished sibling, and a friend to many.
Known for his kind and caring nature, Dan brought warmth and laughter to those around him with his gentle, goofy sense of humor and endless jokes. He felt a deep connection to nature, spending many quiet evenings stargazing and admiring the beauty of the world. A generous and skilled handyman, Dan was always ready to lend a hand to friends and family, helping with car troubles or house projects.
Dan was preceded in death by his daughter, Michelle Sweet. He is survived by his daughters, Nicole Sweet and Danielle Miller; his parents, Juanita and Jim Sweet; his siblings, DeeDee Ledin, Della Anderson, and David Sweet. He also leaves behind many beloved nieces and nephews.
Funeral Service 11:00 am Thursday, December 5, 2024 at Peace Lutheran Church (20 Northdale Blvd. NW., Coon Rapids) Visitation 10:00 am until time of serivce.
Dan will be deeply missed, and his memory cherished by all who knew him.
