Troy Reynolds Conner

Troy R. Conner, age 85, of Conyers, passed away on Thursday, June 10, 2010. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, June 14, 2010, at Horis A. Ward’s Rockdale Chapel with Rev. Vester Maughon and Rev. Alan Burns officiating. Interment will follow at Green Meadow Memorial Gardens in Conyers.

Mr. Conner was a deacon and member of Honey Creek Baptist Church in Conyers, where he was loved by his church and church family. He served our country in the US Army in WWII and retired from the GA Department of Transportation after 32 years of service.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Vivian Jeanette Conner; son, Ronnie (Marie) Conner of McDonough; daughter, Donna (Zander) Ayres of Mountain City, GA; sisters, Helen Moore of Oxford, Ellen Johnson of Conyers; 5 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; several nieces & nephews.

Troy was preceded in death by his son, Tommy Conner in 2007.
