Louise Goodwin

Mary Louise Goodwin, age 88, of Stone Mountain, GA, passed away on Tuesday, February 19, 2013 at Embracing Hospice in Snellville. She was born on September 27, 1924, in Atlanta, GA. She was married to Jack Goodwin for 53 years and worked as a dental assistant for 17 years. Louise loved life, her family and her church. She and Jack were long-time members of East Lake Methodist Church before joining Mt. Carmel Christian Church, where she has been a faithful servant.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 23, 2013, at Mt. Carmel Christian Church, in Stone Mountain, with Art Stansberry, Alec Ward and Wayne Spangler officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

She is survived by her three children, Renee Goodwin Minton (Gregg), Johnny Goodwin (Deena) and Jane Goodwin Smith (Don); six grandchildren, Jennifer Peters, Todd Peters, Lindsay Powell, Seth Goodwin, Melanie Weekley, Jordan Smith and six great-grandchildren; long-time friend, James Mobley.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack M. Goodwin.
