Mrs. Bratton was born March 11, 1932 in Winford, AR, daughter of the late William F. Norris and the late Emmer Norris.
Mrs. Bratton was a long time member of Oak Bowery Baptist Church. She worked for Walmart for 15 years. Before World War II, while she was a young girl, her family moved to Porterville, California, where she eventually married her husband Wally, who was also from Arkansas. There, they had their three children, raising them in California, before Martha and Wally moved to Conway in the late 1970s. Mrs. Bratton enjoyed bird watching, especially humming birds and cardinals, squirrels, fishing, gardening, needlework, camping, rock hunting, and road trips. She loved all of her grandchildren fiercely and enjoyed large family gatherings.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Walter H. Bratton, Jr.; siblings, Ada Mae Norris (Graham), Thurman Norris, Howard Norris, Jack Norris, Margie Norris (Bechtel), Bruce Norris; grandson, Chad Ruminer, and one great-grandson. She is survived by her children, Shareen Robinson, of Conway, Steven (Lorraine) Bratton, of Modesto, California, and Brenda (Dale) Rminer, of Conway; siblings, Charley Norris, of Sutherlin, Oregon, Florene Chance (sister-in-law), of Little Rock; 13 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and 6 great-great-grandchildren.
