Wilma B. Marks, 93, of Conroe, Texas, passed away on Sunday, January 11, 2015. She was born on January 5, 1922 in Burgettstown, Pennsylvania, to William and Alice Buckel. Wilma proudly served her country in the Army Air Corps during WWII. After the war she became an accountant until taking early retirement. She then became a professional seamstress and later a baker winning several trophies for her beautiful cakes. Wilma was always involved in volunteering in the community; especially at her church, Waverly Presbyterian where she spent many years as treasurer. She also started a scholarship fund through the church to help assist kids with college tuition that is still going today. She was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband Roy Marks; and five siblings. Wilma is survived by her sister-in-law Joyce Buckel; nephew Stephen Buckel; nieces Teri Lynn Spitler, Jeannie Underwood, and Jo Anne Brost; and special friends Tom, Jackie, Dawn and the entire Gilmer family. Funeral services will be Thursday, January 15, 2015 at 3:00 p.m. in the Cashner Colonial Chapel with the family receiving friends one hour prior.
