William S. Cannon

William S. Cannon, CPA, passed away on November 5th, 2013. Bill was born to Lt. Col. Robert L. Cannon and Carolyn Maas Cannon on September 28th, 1938, in Bossier City, Louisiana, but called Montgomery, Texas, his home. Bill graduated from the University of Texas in Austin with a BBA in Accounting in 1961. He received his CPA in 1966. Bill worked in the private industry until he opened his own practice in 1974. He continued to work until his death.

Bill is survived by his wife of 54 years, Carolyn, and their three children: daughter Cay P. Cannon and husband Tolbert Nash, daughter Connie and husband Jon Congleton, son Sam Cannon and wife Jamie. He enjoyed eight beautiful grandchildren including Rebecca, Parker, Emerson, Jordan, Calvin, Nathan, Riley, and Toby. He is also survived by

his sister Peggy Fergus and his brother Bob Cannon.

A visitation will be held on Friday, November 8th, at Metcalf Funeral Directors, 1801 East White Oak Terrace, Conroe 77304, 5:00-8:00pm. A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, November 11th, at St. James the Apostle Episcopal Church, 1803 Highland Hollow Drive, Conroe 77304, at 11:00 am.
