Ginger grew up in Oklahoma, moving around due to her father’s work. She met and in 1951, married the love of her life, Mel. He soon took a position with Phillips Petroleum Company which led to many national and international homes. Upon retirement the couple returned to the Houston area, building a home in The Woodlands. Ginger loved to travel visiting 42 states and 6 of the 7 continents. Her favorite place on earth was Hawaii, which became her home away from home traveling there over 35 times. Ginger enjoyed playing the piano, singing, and, especially, reading, twice logging 92 books in a single year. She was a faithful woman and attended the First Assembly of God in Conroe.
Ginger was preceded in death by her husband Mel, son Bradley Killian, sister Rita Conley, and her parents. She is survived by her daughter Terry Killian of The Woodlands, niece Donna Simmons of Clarkston, Washington, and nephew Chuck Conley of Knoxville, Tennessee.
A celebration of Ginger’s life will be held on Friday, October 21, 2022, at 2:00PM Cashner Funeral Home with Rev. Ernest Fridge to officiate.
