Shirley was a member of First Baptist Church for many of her later years. As her family would move she would find employment as a teacher, a career she enjoyed for 25 years. While living in Conroe she spent her time at Runyan Elementary School. Shirley liked to crochet, cook, and bake cookies in her free time.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband James “Ed” Edward Wiggins, daughter Julie Anne Wiggins Underwood, her parents and siblings, Nancy McDonald Grebe and Royce Verner McDonald. Shirley is survived by her son Jimmy Wiggins and wife Janie, daughter Joni Wiggins, five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren and her special friends Pam Donaldson and Bristol Hospice nurse Tim.
A celebration of Shirley’s life is planned for Friday, January 6, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers please make a memorial donation to Isaiah’s House at www.isaiah117house.com/donate.
