Shirley Johnson McClelland passed away peacefully at home Thursday, March 17, 2022, in Montgomery, Texas. Shirley was born on April 9, 1936 in Cravens, Louisiana to Myrtle Pelt Johnson and Vernon Johnson and grew up in Leesville, Louisiana with her beloved brother, Roger Johnson and sister, Jo Ann Mims.
In earlier years, Shirley was both a homemaker and a real estate agent. She loved painting, singing and spending time with her family. On December 12, 2001, she married her devoted and loving husband of twenty years, Robert McClelland. Shirley was known for her beautiful smile, loving and kind heart and fun-loving personality.
Shirley is preceded in death by her parents, Myrtle and Vernon Johnson, and daughter, Cynthia Moak. She is survived by her husband, Robert. She is also survived by her brother Roger Johnson (wife Suzanne), and her sister Jo Ann Mims; her sons Tony Noah, Steve Noah, Tas Moak (wife Allison), as well as Robert’s loving daughters, Robin McClelland Hawn (husband Doug) and Cathy McClelland Romans (husband Trevor).
Surviving her also are her 10 grandchildren: Wendy Noah, Lacy Noah, Derek Noah (wife Ashlee), Grant Hawn, Elise Hawn, Abigail Noah, Bailey Noah, Ben Moak, Peyton Moak, and Will Moak. Also surviving her are her 5 great grandchildren Mason Noah, Emerson Noah, NaZaria Noah, Brielle Noah and Callum Noah.
Funeral services for Shirley will be held Tuesday, March 22, 2022 at 12:00 pm at Montgomery United Methodist Church with Reverend David Lindwall officiating. Visitation will be held from 11:00 am until service time at the church. The burial will be at Drakes Fork Cemetery in Cravens, Louisiana on Saturday, March 26, 2022 at 2:30 pm.
