Ronald Wayne Hensley passed away on March 29, 2022, at the age of 70, in his home in Houston, Texas. His battle with heart issues in recent years showed his courage in facing life challenges with a smile, and always with his guitar in hand. Ronald was born to William Troy Hensley and Vivian June Chappel on October 29th, 1951. After graduating from Conroe High School, Ronald became a very talented carpenter building beautiful homes throughout the Greater Houston area. He was also very passionate about playing music and songwriting, he was a lifetime member of the Houston Songwriter’s Association. A man of many nicknames, Woody P Chihuahua, BonTonRon, and Strawman some of the favorites, music was his life and his passion. Founder of SoundsSoGood.com Productions and The Unofficial Beatles, Bob Dylan and Rolling Stones Historian, Ronald could play music and talk about the history of his favorite bands for hours. Ronald was preceded in death by his parents, and by his brothers Walter Threet and Edgar Hensley. He is survived by his girlfriend of 12 years, Judy Johnston; children Nicole Hensley Hadley (husband Parrish Hadley) and Michael Wayne Hensley (wife Lindsay Hensley); grandchildren Jezyca Hadley, PC Hadley, Audrey Hensley, Bellamy Hensley, and Dylan Hensley. He is also survived by his sister, Karen Britt, and brothers, Barry Dewberry, and William Hensley. Following the service at Cashner Funeral Home, we would like to invite everyone to celebrate Ron Hensley at 202 Main in Downtown Conroe, the family hopes family and friends will be able to attend.
