Rick E. Stagner

Rick Stagner was born June 29, 1952, in Carbondale Illinois and passed away on, Tuesday, July 28, 2020, in Montgomery, Texas. He loved music and was a musician since Jr High School. He played in many bands, and played bass guitar, lead guitar, and did vocals. He was a devoted and loving son. Rick attended Richland Jr College, Sam Houston State University and St. Thomas University. He majored in music and minored in philosophy. He was self-employed as a sub contractor for many years and did home repairs.

Rick became a Christian at age twelve and was very active in the church. He helped build a baptistry in one church he belonged too. He is survived by his mother, Alice Stagner, Aunt Mary Jane Shoopman, Uncle James Branson, cousin, Christie Whitbeck Lazenby (husband Keith) and Christie’s daughter Callie. He was proceeded in death by his father Dwayne Stagner, brother, Nick Stagner and cousin Taylor Whitbeck. Everyone who knew Rick loved him.
