Pamela Ann Funk, age 68 of Montgomery, TX, went to be with her Heavenly Father on Monday, July 6, 2020. Pam was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to all who knew her. She was born on December 7, 1951 in McAllen, Texas to Louis and Helen Robbins and was raised in San Juan, TX. She attended McAllen Business College after graduating from PSJA High School in 1969. Pam married the love of her life, Joseph, on July 4, 1970. They were married for 50 years.
Pam had a strong work ethic and excelled at every job she had. In the 1980’s, Pam and Joe moved to Harlingen, TX to raise their three girls. While there, Pam worked as a secretary at Jane W. Long Elementary for many years and it was there that she met her life-long friends and looked forward to their annual Vegas trips. In 2005, Pam and Joe moved to Montgomery, TX, where Pam spent the last 15 years working as a Procurement Manager with Halliburton.
Pam was a selfless person who always put others before herself. She dedicated her entire life to helping and taking care of others including her love for all animals. Pam had an infectious smile that could light up a room and warm your heart. She had an incredibly quick wit and an amazing sense of humor.
Her loving memory lives on through her husband Joe, her daughters and grandchildren, Melissa Stakes (Wesley, Carson), Stephanie Funk (Hunter, Colton), and Amy Cantu (Taylor). She is also survived by her parents, Louis and Helen, her siblings, John Robbins, Vickey Terveen, Floyd Robbins (Ginette), and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her brother, Louis Robert Robbins.
A Memorial service to celebrate her life will be held for family and close friends at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the ASPCA.org or the Breast Cancer Research Foundation (www.bcrf.org).
