Cathy was born on March 13, 1947 in Anderson, Texas to Mary and Ignatius Borski. She grew up on the family farm and graduated from Anderson High School where she played Basketball. Growing up, she was a member of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church.
After graduation, Cathy moved to Houston and worked for Fleming Foods for many years. She married and had two beautiful children – Kimberly and James “Jim”.
The family then moved to Oak Ridge North in Spring, Texas and became a part of that community. She went to work in the building materials industry for Louisiana Pacific in Conroe, TX where she met her soul mate and best friend, Harrell Holland. They married and shared a common love for the country and raising cattle at the farm in Anderson, TX for 32 years. After retiring from Louisiana Pacific, she enjoyed the best times of her life visiting friends and relatives, working at her farm, tending to her plants, and loving on her family and grandchildren. Cathy had a heart to serve others and never expected anything in return.
Cathy was preceded in death by her parents, Mary and Ignatius Borski, her brother, Tommy Borski, husband Harrell Holland, and her son James Michael “Jim” Brasher.
She is survived by her daughter, Kimberly Boudreaux and partner, Darrel Gonsoulin of Slidell, LA, stepdaughters Telisa and husband Robert Marsh of Cypress, TX, Michelle Holland of Tulsa, OK, and Selena Holland of Tulsa, OK. Grandchildren Mitchell and Lauryn Boudreaux of Slidell, LA, Amelia Brasher of The Woodlands, TX, and step grandsons Joshua Marsh and Ethan McCulley. Sister-in-law, Shirley Borski of Anderson, TX, nephew, Greg Borski and husband Phillip Bowden of Houston, TX, niece, Brenda Morris and husband, Steven of Yoakum, Texas, along with many other great nieces and nephews, relatives and friends.
A celebration of life will be held Saturday, November 6, 2021 at Metcalf Funeral Directors, 1801 East White Oak Terrace, Conroe, Texas 77304. Memorials may be made in Cathy’s honor to the American Cancer Society.
