Mrs. Martha I don't know where to begin, when I first met there was an instant connection. From there you shared your dreams and goals as I shared mine with you.  You had a special place in my heart you were my "mama tootsie", we had our many talks, movie nights, dinner dates to outback steakhouse.  We had a few good years until I left for school.  Thank you for all the encouraging words to finish school.  The day that I walked that stage and received my Bachelors Degree I know that if you all could have been there you would have, I know you where there in spirit.  This has really took me by surprise  but I'm  glad to know that you're no longer suffering.  I know you loved God and he loved you too, we had our talks about him too.  I became one of your many children and I am forever thankful for that! I will miss my messages from you on facebook, but along with my grandparents I now have another angel that is watching over me.  My Master's Degree will be for US! Love you "Mama Tootsie"

Martha you have been a true inspiration, I remember the get together at your house. I thank God for you being in my life and our classmates and so many other peoples lives. I was talking one day to a friend that I did not even know you knew. She saw you in our High School Reunion pictures and recognized you. Her remark was that you inspired her because you did not let anything stop you. You keep going. So, my dear Martha, I know you are still going and we will see each other again. We all love you.

Martha thank you blessing my life. The sparkle in your eyes and hilarious words brought such joy and encouragement to me and all that crossed your path. Especially I will cherish our Christmas visits to your home. May you walk all over heaven bringing that same joy!

Martha, You are my rock! my person! The path forward is going to be hard without you; but the memories and your inspiring words will carry me through to the end of my time here on earth.  

Your life was so incredible and it should have been a movie.  From the time you became paralyzed, it is certain that you had a purpose to be here.  You taught me to have unwavering faith in GOD and to be patient such that things always work out. 

And lets talk about our childhood and A&M.  We had a blast and we pulled of few stunts (some of which may be shared at your memorial service).  We weren't proud of these things.  In the end, they were pretty benign by todays standards . And, you turned out to be the finest person ever.  You went on  serve as a shining  example of how to live life through adversity while inspiring others to do the same.

Then there is meeting and falling in love with Anthony.  That was GOD's gift to you after the loss of your parents.  You took that gift, ran with it and never looked back. Anthony was your person, your purpose.  Going forward, you have my solemn promise that he will be cared for, to the best of my abilities. 

There is no doubt that you are dancing in heaven now, with your beloved mother and father..... and my mother too.  Selfishly, I wish you were still here.  However, I take comfort in having known your beautiful soul and and your grace.    

Martha, Your financial worries are no more.  I thank GOD for that.  I thank you for selflessly helping me through all of my hard times inspite of your own struggles. Most of all, I thank you for being my best friend  and for sharing your greatness with me for all of these years.

Martha (Joe) I have truly loved all our Christmas celebrations and our reminiscing about college/high school. You inspired me to be a better person and to give God all the glory. Say hello to Frank and Fern for me. I love you.

Martha, your classmates from the Conroe High School Class of 1976 will always remember you as one of our family. Bless you in your eternity with our Lord.

You lived your life with such grace and I truly feel like you were a member of our family. I know you're in a better place, fully restored and dancing in the streets with your parents. You will be missed by many for years to come. Love you always!
