Mark Douglas Haas, 60, went home to be with the Lord on October 17, 2017 from his home in Point Aquarius. He was a loving a devoted husband, father, son and brother. Mark was born in Mercedes, Texas on May 15, 1957 to Glen Douglas Haas and Beverly June Haas. He is preceded in death by his father Glen. He is survived by his loving wife, Marga Haas, his beautiful daughter, Lauren Paige Haas, son, Jaron Douglas Haas, mother, Beverly June Haas, sister, Belinda June Haas and many loving relatives and friends. He graduated from Klein High School, Houston Baptist University, and South Texas School of Law. One of his many accomplishments was competing in the Moot Court Team at South Texas. He was the owner of Haas Law Firm in Conroe Texas practicing since 1984. Mark was a board certified attorney, past president of the Montgomery County Bar Association, a member of ABOTA (American Board of Trial Attorney’s) of the Houston Chapter and the past president of Covenant Christian School of Conroe. He was a member of West Conroe Baptist Church and Sunday school teacher as well as serving on many mission trips and as a Gideon. Mark was an avid and successful triathlete and was a founding member of the Conroe Triathlete Club. Completing 4 Ironman events and qualifying for the Worlds in the Sprint. In addition to his love for family, his church and sports he also enjoyed camping and other outdoor activities with his family. He was a man of high integrity, loyal and a lover of Christ. A special thanks to his many friends and family that have supported him through this battle. Visitation will be Thursday, October 19, 2017 at West Conroe Baptist Church from 6pm to 8pm. The memorial services will be on Friday, October 20, 2017 at West Conroe Baptist Church beginning at 11am. In lieu of flowers please make donations to Voice of the Martyrs, Samaritan's Purse, or The Gideon’s.
