Born in Windsor, Ontario, Canada, she moved to the United States with her family at 5 years of age. After living in Detroit for two years, her family moved to St. Clair Shores, Michigan where she completed her education and lived for another 4 years. In the spring of 1969, she met Phillip J. Pfaff. They were married on August 1, 1970. During their 47 year marriage, they lived in four states and nine cities before settling in Montgomery, Texas where they spent the last twelve years. She was the mother of two children (Heather Lynn and Thomas Matthew). As a proud grandmother of four (Regan Nicole, Evan Gregory, Morgan Elisabeth, and Mason Johannes), she spared no expense keeping their wardrobes up to date and making sure that every holiday and birthday was a grand experience. Lynda was an active member of the April Sound Ladies Association and the Lake Conroe Newcomers Club. Throughout her life, it was known that shortly after you met her; you knew all about her; she knew all about you; you loved her and you had a true friend forever. Kind, compassionate, caring, and loving is just a few words to describe her. She loved to travel and visit many states including Hawaii and Alaska. Around the world travels took her to Mexico, England, Germany, France, Scotland, and Ireland. The highlights of her travels were several trips to Disney World with her children and grandchildren. In Lieu of flowers, please make a donation in Lynda’s name to the Arthritis Foundation at www.arthritis.org
A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, April 15th at Metcalf Funeral Directors at 2:00pm at 1801 E. White Oak Terrace in Conroe. Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.metcalffuneraldirectors.com for the Pfaff family.
