Leslie Samuel Parks

Funeral services for Leslie Parks, age 56, of Conroe will be held on Thursday, September 2, 2010 at 10 a.m. in Cashner Colonial Chapel. Interment will follow in Garden Park Cemetery. Visitation is scheduled for Wednesday, September 1, 2010 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Cashner Funeral Home.

Leslie was born September 5, 1953 in Birmingham, Alabama and passed away on August 30, 2010. His family moved to Conroe when he was 2 years old. Leslie graduated from Conroe High School and had a marketing degree from the University of Texas. He worked in sales and marketing in the oil business and later in the computer business.

Leslie was a beloved husband, father, son and brother and was a friend to many. His greatest loves were his family, friends, music and of course, football. He was a very unique individual and had the gift of putting a smile on all those he came in contact with, whether it was family, friends or other patients at MD Anderson. His infectious smile will be forever missed.

Leslie is survived by his wife, Pat Parks; son, Zachary Parks; brother, John Parks and wife, Kathy Parks; mother, Wilma Parks; nephew, Madison Parks; and niece, Bridget Parks. He was preceded in death by his father, Frank Parks. Leslie has a great extended family that loved him dearly and will miss his constant humor and wit.
