Kenneth Wayne Neely, 65, of Conroe passed away at his home on Tuesday, June 27, 2023. He was born April 29, 1958 to Virginia Robbins in Blytheville, Arkansas, but, as he liked to say, he got to Texas as soon as he could.
Ken graduated from Conroe High School in 1976 before joining the United States Air Force. While in the service, he met his wife and lifelong love, Donna Waters. The couple married in 1978 and together settled down in Conroe and raised a daughter, Kelly.
A true small-town southern man, he enjoyed fishing and shooting. He loved his country, and he loved his country music. He provided for his family by installing and maintaining security systems for ADT, and even owned his own security company, NightHawk Security.
Ken is survived by his sister, Linda Winkle and husband Dan, daughter Kelly Renschler and husband Jeremy, and grandsons Elijah Renschler and Tyler Renschler. He was preceded in death by his mother, Virginia Robbins, and his wife, Donna Neely.
Ken will be remembered as an adoring husband, father, and grandfather, and a devoted friend.
A graveside memorial service will be held on Tuesday, July 18, 2023, at 9 am at Houston National Cemetery, with a reception at West Conroe Baptist Church at 10:30 am. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Ken’s name to the Foundation for Peripheral Neuropathy at foundationforpn.org.
