Kenneth Lee Briggs Sr., age 74, passed away on Monday, March 21, 2022. Kenneth was born to the late Robert and Lucy Briggs, owner of Bob Briggs & Sons and a homemaker, in Houston, Texas on August 1, 1947.
In 1966 he graduated from Spring Branch High School where he was a cheerleader and a band member.
Kenneth married Genene Gail Gooch in Montgomery, Texas on October 18, 1980. For 40 years, Ken enjoyed his work as a general contractor and worked up to a few months ago. He was a member of Gateway Church in Spring, Texas where he volunteered his services with love and devotion.
He loved his grandbabies, working outside, The Lord, his wife and daughter, snow skiing, his dogs, and listening to gospel music very loudly.
Kenneth is survived by his loving wife Genene Briggs; daughter Jamie Trauth and husband Brian and their children Hunter, Christopher, Jaxon, and Grayson; son Kenneth Lee Briggs, Jr. and wife Joanne and their children Noelle and Colin; daughter Christine Briggs; brother Robert Briggs and wife Jennifer; brother Gary Rae Briggs and wife Scheral. Numerous other family members and a host of friends are also left to cherish his memory.
A visitation for Kenneth will be held Friday, March 25, 2022 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Metcalf Funeral Directors, 1801 E White Oak Terrace, Conroe, Texas. A celebration of life will occur Saturday, March 26, 2022 at 2:00 PM at Metcalf Funeral Directors with a reception to follow at 4:00 PM at Gateway Church, 2930 Rayford Rd, Spring, TX.
