Karen Ginn Ruiz

Karen Ginn Ruiz passed away at her home in Willis, Texas on Saturday, June 24, 2017 at the age of 47. Karen was born in Willis, Texas in 1969. She graduated from Willis High School in 1988. Karen spent many years caring for children of the community at the The Wishing Well Child Care Center and as a Willis ISD school bus driver. Karen is predeceased by her mother, Linda Delgado, and her grandparents, Woodrow Wilson Bonner and Jettie Edith Bonner. Karen is lovingly remembered by her husband Fulgencio Ruiz whom she married in April of 1988; daughter Sierra Ruiz; son Sefir Ruiz; brother Russell Ginn and wife Skye, brother Adon Delgado and loving nieces, nephews and grandchild. Karen was overjoyed to welcome her first grandchild, Noel Ruiz, into the world in March of 2016, as he became a large focus of her energy and affection. Karen settled beautifully into the role of a doting grandmother.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, June 29, 2017 from 5:00 p.m. till 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be Friday, June 30, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Metcalf Funeral Directors. Burial will follow at 2:00 p.m. at Carlisle Cemetery in Trinity, Texas.
