Jimmie Lee Basco

Jimmie was a resident of Alexandria, Louisiana and was a graduate of Menard High School in 1967. He is survived by his wife of 33 years Rita Basco. He is also survived by three stepdaughters, Tamara McNease, Kim Holley, and Heather Guillory; Son in laws Danny McNease, Jason Guillory and Joe Mendyk. He has 6 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren; Three Brothers William Basco, Daniel Basco, Aubrey Basco and sister Wanda Basco. He is preceded in death by his parents, his brothers Harvey Basco and David Basco and sisters Willie Basco and Myrtle Basco.

Jimmie was a former employee of the state of Louisiana Department of Transportation and Bridge Inspection. He was a retired United States Army Staff Sergeant who participated in Operation Desert Storm during the Gulf War.

Jimmie loved the outdoors, music and watching the New Orleans Saints. He was most passionate about traveling and spending time with family and his pets. He was a man of beautiful simplicity and didn’t require extra of anyone. He was humble and dedicated to his Catholic beliefs.

The family would like to acknowledge our appreciation to Live Oak Senior Care and Crossroads Senior Living for their exceptional care and service.

In lieu of flowers the family ask that donations be made to Alzheimer’s Association.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Metcalf Funeral Directors at 11:00am December 21, 2024. 1801 E White Oak Terrace Conroe, TX
