Funeral services to celebrate the life of Helen E. Chapman will be held Tuesday, December 3, 2013 at 12:30pm in Cashner Colonial Chapel with Pastor Harry Vein officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the Tuesday service, beginning at 11:30am. Helen was born September 15, 1929 in Smith Center, Kansas to Raymond and Clarice Dicker and passed away November 30, 2013 in The Woodlands, Texas. Helen was a long time resident of Spring and The Woodlands, Texas. She attended Stormont Vail Nursing School in Topeka, Kansas. After moving to Spring in 1966 Helen worked as a nurse for many years in Houston, and in Conroe, Texas. In 1970, she and her husband, Pete, formed Water District Management Company; where she worked until her retirement in 1997. She most recently resided at Autumn Leaves of The Woodlands. Helen is preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Clarice Dicker; her brothers, Paul Dicker and Ralph Dicker and her husband, B.W. Pete Chapman. She is survived by her daughters, Barbara Froboese (Joseph) of The Woodlands, Texas and Linda Cowart of Spring, Texas; grandchildren, Robert Cowart, Jr (Jessi), Roland Froboese (Darby), Russell Cowart (Stephanie), Rebecca Cowart and Robyn Froboese; great grandchildren, Nathan Cowart-Garcia, Azlan Froboese, Mackenzie Sherman, Baily Cowart, Abby Henderson and Asher Brownfield. The family would like to extend their gratitude to the caring staff and friends at Autumn Leaves, the doctors and staff at Memorial Hermann Hospital and Life Pointe Hospice for all of their loving care provided to Helen.
