Helen Young Burdeaux

Helen Burdeaux, long time resident of Conroe, Texas passed away Oct. 31, 2014. Helen was born May 3. 1924 in Sharp, Texas to John and Mary Young. She graduated with a BBA from the University of Texas in Austin in 1945, She had a long career as a math teacher with the Conroe Independent School District and was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Conroe. Helen was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Carey E. Burdeaux and brother J.W. Young. She is survived by her children; Cecilia Ballentine and husband Mike of Boyds, Maryland, Teresa Read and husband Dwain of Perryton, Texas, Steven Burdeaux and wife Paula of Superior, Colorado and Patricia Fenley of Conroe, Texas. Helen also had 5 grandchildren; Haley Franklin, Rachel Garcia, Kari Fenley, Andrew Burdeaux and Ryan Burdeaux, and 10 great grandchildren. Visitation will be at Cashner Funeral Home, 801 Teas Road, Conroe, Texas 77303, on Monday, Nov. 3, 2014, from 5-7pm. Funeral Service will be in the Cashner Colonial Chapel on Tuesday, Nov. 4, 2014, at 10am with Dwain Read presiding. Burial will follow in the Conroe Memorial Park.
