Fred John was born March 5, 1936 in Anderson, Missouri to Leroy and Gussie John, and passed away April 13, 2017 at the age of 81. Fred was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Bobby John and by his son, Mitchell John. Fred is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Kathy John of Conroe, Texas; daughter, Terri Storjohann of Tulsa, Oklahoma; son and daughter-in-law, Allen and Lynne Shearer of Shenandoah, Texas; son-in-law, John Storjohann of Owasso, Oklahoma; sister, Gerry Meeker of Edmond, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Tayler and Michael Azar, Haley Shearer and her fiancé Hayden Peer, Mark and Amy Storjohann, and Mandy and Andrew Hatch; and 9 great grandchildren. Fred graduated from John Marshall High School in Britton, Oklahoma staying in touch with his class of 1955, and enjoying visiting and remembering old times at nearly every reunion. After high school, he played football at Central State College in Edmond, Oklahoma. He was also proud of his service in the Oklahoma 45th National Guard division. Fred became a member of the Edmond Masons Lodge #37, and earned his 32nd Degree from the McAlester Scottish Rite. Fred was well known for buying and selling farm equipment, and his love for fishing. He never met a stranger, and was blessed with many true friends. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Conroe, Texas and loved the Lord. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Cashner Funeral Home on Saturday, April 22, 2017 at 12:30pm.
