Donald was born on August 29, 1965, in Albert Lea, Minnesota. He grew up in Minnesota before moving to Texas in 1980. Donald attended Willis High School. In 1983, he relocated to Germany for military service, where he served until 1994. He then returned to Conroe, Texas, where he lived for the rest of his life. Donald enjoyed spending time with his family and dogs. His hobbies included hunting, fishing, cruising, grilling and smoking food, and watching NASCAR.
Donald served 11 years (1983-1994) in the U.S. Army, rising to the rank of Sergeant. He was deployed to the Middle East for both Operation Desert Shield and Desert Storm, where he served as a gunner on a M1A1 tank. Over the course of his military career, he learned and served every position on the tank. After his military service Donald worked as a truck driver, specializing in oversized loads and hauling windmill blades across the country.
Donald was preceded in death by his father, Donald Leroy Miller Sr.
He is survived by his spouse, Georgia Hiers; mother, Deloris Miller; son, Jeff Miller and his wife, Kenia; daughter, Michelle Miller and her husband Michael Edwards; brothers, Blaine Miller and his wife, Kathy and Kurt Miller and his wife, Lori; sister, Tina Mistric and her husband, Mike Mistric.
