Morris Clinton Hatchett Jr., affectionately known as Clint, took his last ride on May 28, 2024, at the age of 83. Born on April 28, 1941, in Houston, Texas, to Dorothy Brain Hatchett Wilson and Morris C. Hatchett, Sr., Clint lived a full and vibrant life, filled with passions that defined his years.
In his younger days, Clint was active in rodeoing, fishing, and socializing. His love for roping, which developed in high school, sparked a lifelong passion for horses. This love for the rodeo was a cornerstone of his identity, bringing him joy and purpose. After marrying the love of his life, Nancy, Clint discovered a new passion, fishing. The serenity and peace of being on the water became a treasured pastime. Clint’s joy extended to his community, where he was known for his hospitality cooking up fish fries and barbeque. He found great comfort and happiness in gathering with family, friends, and neighbors.
Initially working as a machinist making parts for oilfield equipment, Clint dedicated 33 years of his career to FMC. In his last 10 years, he transitioned into the role of cost estimator for FMC.
Clint is survived by his devoted wife, Nancy, of almost 61 years, and his beloved children, Teresa Edwards and her husband, Gary Edwards, Lisa Hatchett, and stepson, Michael McQueen and his wife, Carol. His legacy continues through his cherished grandchildren, Jared Edwards, Sarah Endsley and her husband, Dakota Endsley, and Christie McQueen, and his great-granddaughter Aera Edwards.
Clint’s life was a testament to his passions, his love for his family, and his unwavering spirit. He will be deeply missed.
Services for Clint will be held at Cashner Funeral Home, 801 Teas Road, Conroe, Texas, on Monday, June 3, 2024. Visitation begins at 9:00 a.m. and service begins at 10 a.m. . Interment will take place at 3:00 pm at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery.
