Charles Wayne Adams affectionately known as daddy, Pepaw and Charlie went to be with his Lord and Savior on October 31, 2018 at the age of 80. Charles was born on July 26, 1938 to Everett and Agnes Adams. He attended Willis schools, after school he worked for Chevron Oil. The traveling interfered with him being home with his wife and family. In 1968 he decided to start his own company, Adams Construction and ran it for 50 years. He enjoyed working with his two sons for 36 of those years. Charles accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior in 1994 and shared the gospel every chance he had. He was a lifetime member of Mims Baptist Church where he served as a deacon for 20 years. He was a beloved Sunday school teacher, usher and was known as the “Amen Man”. In his younger days Charles enjoyed bowling, softball and boating. Charles was a hardworking man who provided for his family and loved them fiercely. He loved spending time with them, tending to his cows and being on his tractor raking and bailing hay. Charles was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Evelyn Buckner, Robbie Beathard, Alice Cruz, Inez Castleschouldt and Norma Adams. Charles is survived by the love of his life, his wife of 60 years, Glenda Adams; daughter, Wendy Adams Fisher; sons, Charles Adams, Jr. (Kim Leatherwood), David Adams (Cherish); grandchildren, Amber Peterson (Larry), Derek Fisher, Olivia Adams, Megan Hedrick (Josh), Morgan Lewis (Rusty), Madie Adams (Ryan Millunzi) and Jordan Fisher; great grandchildren, Drake Peterson, Case Martinez, Corbin Langford, Ariel Peterson and Luke Hedrick; brother, Raymond Adams (Sherry); sister in law, Rose Browning; brothers in law, Frank Cruz (Charlotte), Wayne Castleschouldt, Phillip Fisk and Roger Fisk. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, friends, extended family, a loving church family and longtime friends Mickey and Ida Lentz. Visitation will be on Sunday, November 4, 2018 at Cashner Funeral Home in Conroe, Texas from 5:00pm to 8:00pm. The Funeral Service will be on Monday, November 5, 2018 at Mims Baptist Church in Conroe, Texas beginning at 11:00am. The interment will immediately follow at Conroe Memorial Park.
