Carolyn Swinney Wilson, a cherished mother, grandmother, family member and friend, returned to her heavenly home on August 10, 2023 at the age of 77. Carolyn was born to Timothy Carter Swinney and Oleta Davidson Swinney on November 27, 1945. She had three brothers, Bill Swinney, Waymon Swinney and Carter Swinney, and two sisters, Timmie Reagan, and Roberta “Berta” Jordan.
Carolyn’s first job was at Carter Drugs in downtown Conroe. In 1967, Carolyn married the love of her life, Oliver Wilson, and together they embarked on a journey filled with love, laughter and shared adventures. Oliver passed away before her, leaving behind a legacy of warmth and cherished memories.
As a devoted mother, Carolyn poured her heart into raising her two children, Clint and Christi, who went on to find love and start their own families. Carolyn's spirit of love and guidance will continue to resonate through them.
Carolyn's nurturing nature and altruistic spirit extended beyond her immediate family. She possessed an innate desire to help others, dedicating her time and efforts to making a positive impact in the lives of those around her. Her kindness became an inspiration to all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her nature led her to work for the non-profit agency, Montgomery County Youth Services for 22 years. MCYS provides free counseling services to children as well as the Bridgeway Shelter to children in need.
In her role as a grandmother, Carolyn found immense joy in the laughter and innocence of her three beloved grandchildren, Colton Wilson and his girlfriend, Presley Gandy, Conner Wilson, and Olivia Reaux. She created lasting memories with them, passing on her legacy of making Texas Trash and baking cookies.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her husband, parents, three brothers, two sisters and four nephews: Billy Frank Swinney, Timothy Swinney, Michael Swinney, and Kevin Reagan. Though they may have parted ways in this life we know they are together in Heaven!
Carolyn is survived by Clint and wife Shannon Wilson, Christi Wilson Reaux and husband Todd Reaux, and many cherished nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Carolyn's love of the Lord and desire to help others lives on through her family and the countless lives she touched. She leaves a legacy of compassion, love and selflessness that will continue to inspire generations to come.
The family wishes to send special thanks to Dr. Vuppali of Healing Kidneys and Carolyn’s dialysis nurse, Blanca.
