Barbara Jean McMahan

Barbara Childers McMahan was born in Finley, OK on Sept 26,1939. She graduated from Antler's High School in 1957 and married the love of her life, Jack McMahan. Barbara loved her family dearly and enjoyed collecting antiques, dancing, and watching her grandchildren. She passed peacefully in her sleep at her home in Conroe, TX on Jan 13, 2023 after suffering several years of dementia.

Barbara was preceded in death by her father Rosser Childers, mother Ester Jackson, sister Patsy Wall, and brother Jerry Childers. She is survived by her husband of 65 years Jack McMahan, her sister Judy Storey Peters and husband Benny, sister-in-law Mary Sue Childers, her sons Sheldon McMahan and wife Cynthia, Brad McMahan and wife Julie, her grandchildren Lindsey McMahan and husband Joey Porter, Hailey Stone and husband Bobby, Kindall McMahan, and great-grandchild Kinslee Stone.

While Barbara will be so greatly missed we know that she is at peace and home with the Lord. In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate donations being made to the Alzheimer's Association.

Graveside service for Barbara will be on Tuesday, January 17, 2023 at 10:00AM in Garden Park Cemetery, 801 Teas Road, Conroe, Texas, 77303. Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.cashnerconroe.com for the McMahan family.
