A memorial service for Andrew F. Such, age 81, of Conroe will be held on Saturday, October 16, 2010 at 12:30 p.m. in Cashner Colonial Chapel. Mr. Such was born July 2, 1929 in Little Rock, Arkansas and passed away on September 11, 2010 in Conroe, Texas. He spent 62 years in the retail clothing business, the most important of which was his start with Jordon and Booth in Shreveport. His most accomplishments in the prime of his most lustrous career were with Norton Ditto, Sakowitz, Leopold-Price and Rolle and Jos. A Bank in Houston, Texas. During these years, Mr. Such won several awards, Presidents Club, letters of praise and letters from close and dear friends. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and The University of Arkansas Alumni. Mr. Such was a huge fan of the Arkansas Razorbacks. His favorite charity was St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
He was also a wonderful family man. Even though he kept most of his private life quiet with those he worked, most knew he was all about his family. Mr. Such was a very good and caring man. He will not only be missed by his co-workers, but mostly by his family. He is survived by his wife, Margie P. Such of Conroe; daughter, Teri Lynn Christ and husband Lee of Jersey Village; son, Michael Such of Conroe; brother, Joseph Such and wife Rita of Raleigh, North Carolina; grandchildren, Rachel Lynn Rountree and husband Cory, Ryan Christ, Lisa Cochran and husband Brian, Michael Andrew Such and grand dog, Fred; great grandchildren, Lauren Haley Such, Katie Cochran and Jenny Paige Cochran; daughter-in-law, Brenda Such. Numerous other relatives and friends also survive.
