Rebecca “Becky” Dianne Cline, age 72, passed away at Catawba Valley Assisted Living at Rock Barn on Sunday, August 13, 2023. Becky was born on Wednesday, December 27, 1950 to the late Milton Henry Cline and Mary Aileen Reinhardt Cline.
In addition to her parents, Becky was preceded in death by her sister in law, Betty Cline.
Becky was a caregiver. She provided loving care for both her parents until their deaths and she worked in the personal caregiver sector. Becky was a lifelong member of Bethany UCC where she attended faithfully until her declining health prevented her from doing so. She loved her church family and they loved her.
Becky loved animals and was a parent to several fur babies during her life. Her fur babies were Benji, Caesar, Cookie, and Prissy.
Becky was a loving friend and enjoyed fellowship with others. Those who knew her will know that she faced many hardships in her life, both physical and otherwise. She has now overcome all those obstacles and is finally enjoying the peace and perfect love that eluded her in her earthly life. Those of us who loved her will cherish her memory and look forward to seeing her again.
Those left to cherish Becky’s memory are her brothers, Milton “Butch” H. Cline, Jr of Newton, Michael Cline and wife, Donna of Claremont; sister, Wanda Travis and husband, Glenn of Claremont; and several nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 2pm on Wednesday, August 16, 2023 at Bethany United Church of Christ with Revered Kathy Naish officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service at 1:30pm. Burial will follow at Bethany UCC Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Catawba County Humane Society, PO Box 63, Hickory, NC 28603 or to Bethany UCC, 2952 Bethany Church Rd., Claremont, NC 28610.
