Born November 15, 1960, he was the son of Athleen Robson and the late William Richard Robson.
Charles was a graduate of Wingate University and UNCC. He was the owner of Cross-Roads Leather Company. Charles loved his work and meeting new people. Charles loved his God and the blessings the Lord gave him.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, animals, reading, music, cooking, and wildlife conservation. Charles’ big smile and sense of humor could always see past a dark cloud. His goal was to enjoy life, to work hard, and provide a home for his family.
Charles was a devoted husband, father, son and brother. Heaven has a new and wonderful angel.
Charles is survived by his beloved wife, Alice Lancaster Robson of Morganton; sons, Benjamin Jacob Robson of Lenoir, Luke Brittain Robson of Lenoir; daughter, Sara Ellen Barlowe and her husband, Benjamin Bolasny of New York City.
Charles is also survived by one brother, William Richard Robson and his wife Karen; Nephew, Nick Robson and his wife Chrissy as well as their children Laura and Clint of Dobson, N.C.; sisters, Cathy Anderson and her partner Bobby Slate and family of Winston Salem, N.C. and Cindy Chappell and her husband Rick of Hickory, N.C.
The celebration of Charles Robson’s life will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 31, 2018 at Mt. Zion Lutheran Church, 4420 Country Home Road, Conover, North Carolina 28613. The family will receive friends prior to the service at 12:30 to 1:45pm. Burial will take place in the church cemetery after the celebration.
