Virginia "Ginny" S. Webb

Lifetime Connersville resident, Virginia “Ginny” S. Webb, 91, died September 15, 2020 at Reid Health of Richmond.
Ginny was the daughter of Curtis Paul and Doris Saxon Scholl and was born on March 28, 1929. She attended the University of St. Francis, where she received her nursing degree. Ginny married William Hugh Webb on July 1, 1951, at the Glenwood United Methodist Church. She was a dedicated nurse at the former Fayette Memorial Hospital for 33 years before her retirement. Ginny was a member of the Glenwood Methodist church and a former member of the singing group Sweet Adeline. She enjoyed watching the colts, reading and doing crossword puzzles. Ginny loved baking banana cakes and cookies for her family.
Ginny is survived by her son: Alan Webb of Connersville; her grandson: Justin Webb of Bloomington; her Sister-in-law: Barbara Mathews of Elwood City, Pennsylvania; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Ginny is preceded in death by her husband William Hugh Webb who died on March 3, 2007; her son: Gary Michael Webb who died on December 30, 2017; her sister: Phyllis Patterson.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, September 23, 2020, at Showalter Blackwell Long Funeral Home, Myers Chapel, Connersville, with Lonnie Goen of Glenwood Methodist Church officiating. Entombment will follow at The Shrine of Memories Mausoleum. Friends may visit at the funeral home Wednesday from 12p.m. until time of service. Memorial contributions may be made to Glenwood Methodist Church, 303 State St, Glenwood, IN 46133 or to an organization of the donor’s choice.
