June was born February 25, 1921, in Rush County to Christopher and Nellie Hamilton Rowe. She attended Connersville area schools and was a member of the Laurel Pentecostal Holiness Church. On August 15, 1941, June was married to Dewey Foster Baldwin at Grand Avenue United Methodist Church. She had been employed at REX Manufacturing assembling bomb casings and had worked as a cook at area restaurants. June enjoyed spending time with her family and collecting clocks. In her leisure time, she liked to garden, tend to her flowers and watching birds at her feeders.
June is survived by her children and their spouses: Howard Baldwin and Sandy, Ronald Baldwin and Diane, Rebecca “Jan” Cooper and Dennis, Daniel Baldwin and Janet, Pamela Patterson and Jack, Mary Ann Underwood; former son-in-law: George Underwood, all of the Connersville area; 26 grandchildren, 67 great-grandchildren, 24 great-great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, June was preceded in death by her husband of over 72 years, who died June 27, 2015; her siblings: Nettie Bush, Sara Shepard, Elizabeth DeMoss, Billie Stang, Vera Bailey, Delbert Rowe, Joseph Rowe and Phillip Rowe; four grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and a great-great granddaughter.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday at Showalter Blackwell Long Funeral Home, Myers Chapel, Connersville, with Pastor Glen Goins officiating. Interment will follow in Laurel North Cemetery. Friends may visit at the funeral home from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday.
