Robert F. Pohlman

A native of Connersville, Robert was born June 2, 1927 to Leo B. and Hazel N. Hillman Pohlman and attended school in Milton. For 46 years, he was employed as a draftsman at Whitewater Industries and its predecessor United Vacuum in Connersville. Robert was an avid golfer and had resided near the golf course in Liberty. He was a baseball fan and supported the Cincinnati Reds. Robert enjoyed spending time with his nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Robert is survived by his sisters: Lois R. Roberts of Connersville; Doris J. Higgs of Richmond; nieces and nephews, including, Cheryl Roser of Richmond, Brad Weesner of New Castle, John Roberts of Connersville, Gary Roberts of Ft. Wayne; great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews; his special friends/caregivers: Brenda McVey of Richmond and Xandra Davis of Liberty.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday at Showalter Blackwell Long Funeral Home, Myers Chapel, Connersville, with Rev. James R. Orr of Connersville, officiating. Interment will follow in Valley Grove Cemetery in southern Wayne County. Friends may visit at the funeral home from 12 noon until the time of service.
