Norma Lee Callihan

Norma Lee Callihan, 92, of Indianapolis and formerly of Connersville, died Saturday, September 24, 2022 at her residence.
Norma was born to James D. and Sarah Sparks Plummer on November 22, 1929. She was a hardworking woman, who retired from Ford-Visteon after 37 years of service. Norma was a faithful member of First Baptist Church in Connersville, prior to her move to Indianapolis. She was an excellent seamstress and tailor who was never afraid to start and finish a DIY project. She enjoyed working outside in her yard tending to her vegetable and flower gardens. Norma was very family oriented; she built an addition on her house to accommodate her family and friends when they came to visit. She will be deeply missed by all who know and love her.
Norma is survived by her son and his wife: Carson and Linda Plowman; sister: Lamonda Soliday; sister-in-law: Marjorie Plummer; grandchildren: Erika Burgos, Christopher and wife Emma Plowman; great-grandchildren: Kaylee Plowman, Cass Plowman; several nieces and a nephew, including Tammy Bolen, Bobbi Plummer, and Jeani Derrickson who spent long days and nights supporting her during her hospital stays and Jim Soliday who kept her stocked with groceries and supplies.
In addition to her parents, Norma is preceded in death by her brother: Gene Plummer; sister: Bobbi Harris.
A funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., on Tuesday, October 4, 2022 at Showalter Blackwell Long Funeral Home, Myers Chapel, Connersville, with Pastor Mal Gibson, officiating. Friends may gather from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service. Burial will follow at Dale Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to The Alzheimer Association in Norma’s honor.
