NEW CITY - Brian M. Biggar, 70, passed away on Friday, November 22, 2019 with his family at his bedside. He was born on April 19, 1949 in New York City to Merlin and Rita Biggar. He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Elizabeth (Betty).
Brian grew up in Oneida, NY and was a graduate of Oneida High School, Class of 1967. He proudly attended and graduated from Manhattan College, Class of 1971. Brian had a long career spanning over 40 years with Bankers Trust and Deutsche Bank. He retired in 2014 and began his new role as a grandfather which brought him great joy. Brian was an avid NY Giants fan and took great pleasure in attending games including multiple Super Bowls. In addition to football, his hobbies included golf and vacationing with family.
In addition to his wife, Brian is survived by his loving son Matthew Biggar and his wife Caitlin along with their son Christopher, his loving daughter Stephanie Bracconeri, her husband Matthew and their children Emily and Andrew. He is also survived by his three siblings, Barbara Morris, Elizabeth Gordon, and Barry Biggar; as well as several nephews, nieces and cousins.
Family will receive friends on Monday, November 25 from 3 to 7PM and Tuesday, November 26 from 2 to 4PM and 7 to 9PM at Michael J. Higgins Funeral Home, 113 Lake Road East, Congers, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, November 27 at 10AM at St. Augustine Church, 140 Maple Avenue, New City, NY followed by internment at Ascension Cemetery, 650 Saddle River Road, Airmont, NY.
