He was born on the family farm on October 26, 1922 to Karl C. and Inez A. (Osborne) Moore where he resided his entire life. He graduated from Belmont High School in 1940.
His passion was his family and his life on the family farm where he raised poultry for Hubbard Farms in Walpole, NH for nearly 30 years; purebred Suffolk sheep and Hereford cattle. He was a member of the NH Farm Bureau and, during his lifetime, his farm received the USDA Bicentennial Farm award (1976) and NH State Grange Century Farm award (1989). He loved his family, his farm and his Ford tractors.
He was predeceased by his parents and two brothers, Lauris D. Moore and Lloyd O. Moore and one sister, Phyllis A. (Moore) Page.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Beatrice (Turner) Moore; two sons: Karl C. Moore of Loudon, Larry J. Moore and his wife, Melissa, of Loudon; two daughters, Linda S. Flewelling and her husband, Gere, of Loudon and Diane J. Pearl and her husband, Bruce, of Gilmanton. He is also survived by one granddaughter: Angela C. Pearl and her children, Téa and Aidan Rodney of Gilmanton and nine grandsons: Brett D. Pearl of Gilmanton and Brian M. Pearl and his wife, Jenna and their children, Madelyn and Brooklyn Pearl of Gilmanton; Christopher K. Moore and his wife, Christine, of Rockwell, NC and Andrew N. Moore and his fiancé, Lindsay Hoyt, of Salisbury, NC; Scot A. Flewelling and Evan G. Flewelling of Loudon; Samuel R. Moore and his wife, Christina, of Loudon, Jeffrey K. Moore and Bradley D. Moore of Loudon. He is also survived by one sister, Barbara (Moore) Burtt of Lee, MA and many nieces and nephews.
The family thanks the staff of Merrimack County Nursing Home and the Concord Regional VNA Hospice program for their loving care and support.
Calling hours are Thursday, August 6, 2015 from 6-8pm at Bennett’s Funeral Home, North Main Street, Concord. Graveside services will be held on Friday, August 7, 2015 at 1pm at the Loudon Ridge Cemetery, Loudon Ridge Road, Loudon.
