September 25, 1943 – May 15, 2016
Beloved son of Frank Olin Brewer & Barbara Tinker Brewer
Timothy Martin Brewer was born on September 25, 1943 in Windsor, VT, the middle child between his sisters Beverlee and Pamela. Tim attended Hanover High School, from which he graduated in June of 1962. Tim was a West Point nominee, and served with distinction in the US Army until 1965 as an instructor of rocket guidance systems at Fort Bliss, Texas.
After his discharge, Tim attended New Hampshire Technical Institute in Concord, NH, where he met the woman that would be his companion in life, Susan Carol Roberts. Tim and Sue married on August 19, 1967.
Tim and Sue became parents on November 15, 1969 and again on July 1, 1972 when their sons Richard Grant and Karl Evan were born. Tim was always an active father, serving his sons not only as a hero by fixing all things broken, but also as their Boy Scout troop master, archery companion, and overseer of model rocketry.
Rarely seen without his Swiss Army knife and pipe, “Tim Bear” had an illustrious career in electronics with companies such as KLH, Advent, Raytheon, and Hypertherm, at which he obtained several patents. In his time away from work, he enjoyed collecting and working with all types of tools, knives, and pens. Tim was an avid calligrapher.
He was also a longtime member of the Baha'i Faith, serving on the Local Spiritual Assembly of Lebanon, NH.
Tim loved his family, camping and hiking in the Appalachian Mountains, his Dobermans, his trusted Scout II pickup “L’il Blue”, shrimp cocktail, mince pie, and Claussen pickles.
Tim is survived by his wife and two sons, and sisters Beverlee Chadwick of Mt. Orab, Ohio and Pamela Shephard of Concord, NH.
The family would especially like to acknowledge the residents and caregivers at King House in Chichester, NH, where Tim lived under the very best of care since October of 2014.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that charitable donations be made in Tim’s name to Doberman Rescue Unlimited (DRU), an organization dedicated to the care and shelter of abused and abandoned animals of the breed he loved so much.
