Sean Robert Christie passed away peacefully on August 7, 2021, at the age of 46, surrounded by his loved ones. Sean was born and raised in Concord, N.H to Gary Christie Sr. and the late Caryn Christie. He spent his childhood with the neighborhood kids at White Park, Sunnycrest Farm (now Carter Hill Orchard) or riding bikes around town. Sean enjoyed summers as a kid camping at Ossipee Lake with his parents, brother and sister, or in York Beach M.E, where the family still vacations every year.
He graduated from Concord High School in 1993 and then New Hampshire Technical Institute in 2005, with a degree in Computer Science. During his high school years, he worked and managed Bear Right in Concord which inspired him and three of his longtime friends to open Quarters, an arcade in the Steeplegate Mall. Quarters was a popular local hangout until they moved the business to the Mall of N.H in Manchester. It was a passion and joy of Sean’s to own Quarters Arcade.
In 2009, Sean met the love of his life, Erin Michaud and their courtship balanced them both. They loved spending time watching movies and going for long rides on his motorcycle through New Hampshire. Sean continued throughout his life to make his family and friends a priority. Always present at birthday celebrations, recitals, concerts and gatherings to watch the Patriots play. He enjoyed running races with his loving partner Erin, making sure he was close behind her to encourage her as they went along. Sean always had a smile on his face and a great sense of humor. You couldn’t help instantly feeling comfortable and welcomed in his presence.
Over the last 23 years Sean has been a trustworthy and long-standing employee with Sam’s Club in Concord. Often being recognized as Employee of the Month, due to his hard work, easy going personality and commitment to consistently being there when his colleagues needed him. Sean never wanted the praise or recognition, as he was just being who he was, a person who is caring, thoughtful and selfless.
Sean was a fiercely loyal and loving partner, son, brother, uncle and friend. He is predeceased by his mother Caryn, and is survived by his partner Erin Michaud, his father, Gary Christie Sr., his brother Gary Christie Jr. and wife Bridget, his sister Tara Belanger and husband Justin, his nieces and nephews Alexis & Sebastian Christie, Benjamin & Ethan Belanger, Isabella Balestri & Ava Michaud, many close friends who were family, and his loving cat, Sir Charles.
There will be a private burial for immediate family only and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
