Pat was born in Portland, Maine to Avis (Curtis) Davis and Warren Davis. She graduated from Nashua high school and pursued higher education at Boston University. Later she returned to New Hampshire where she worked in the home construction industry. She was a founding partner and Chief Financial Officer of Epoch Corporation, New England’s leading modular home manufacturer. She retired after the sale of the company in 2006.
Pat is predeceased by her parents, her husband, Thomas Laughlin and her husband Dwight Broadstone.
Pat is survived by her daughter, Jennie Smith and her husband Brian of Pembroke, NH; her son, Tim Laughlin and his wife Lee of Loudon, NH; as well as her grandchildren, Jeffrey Levesque and his wife Nicole, Jason Levesque, Trisha Laughlin and Tim Laughlin and her great-grand daughter Juliana Levesque. She is also survived by her beloved sister, Jane (Davis) Swanson, her husband Tom Swanson, their sons, and their families.
Pat built connections with her husband Tom Laughlin’s sons and Dwight Broadstone’s children and all of their families.
Pat was a firm believer in giving back to her community. Professionally, she worked with the New Hampshire Home Builder’s Association. She was a perennial volunteer and leader with the General Federation of Women’s Clubs both in Pembroke and at the state level. She was a Girl Scout Leader for more that 15 years. She worked on initiatives to benefit the Pembroke Public Schools and The Pembroke FIRST Robotics team. Pat was a volunteer and member of The Church of Spiritual life. She was a former board member and longtime volunteer with NOAH, the National Organization for Albinism and Hypopigmentation.
She will be remembered for her talents in the garden and for skills as crafter. Pat sewed hundreds of masks as part of a Women’s Club initiative in the early days of the COVID19 Pandemic. She’s created many beautiful quilts and even as her life was winding down talked of the four or five she still had to finish. We’re all sad she ran out of time.
The family would like to extend their gratitude to the doctors, nurses, LNAs and staff in the Concord Hospital Medical Group, the Payson Center for Cancer Care, and Granite Visiting Nurses Association who provided thorough and compassionate healthcare. Special thanks to Loudon EMS and the staff at the Epsom Healthcare Center for making Pat’s last days as dignified and comfortable as possible.
