Monique F. Hardy, age 91, passed away peacefully surrounded by her children December 14, 2016 at Concord (NH) Hospital. She was born February 13, 1925 in Marseilles, France to Pierre and Blanche (Millicent) Fontaine. After meeting her future husband during World War II she emigrated to the U.S. and married William C. Hardy on July 24, 1949. She worked for Sears as a customer service associate, and after retirement volunteered for many years at the Milano Senior Center in Melrose. Monique loved to spend time with her family, friends and neighbors. She loved the ocean and seaside walks, singing and dancing and was always ready to laugh at a good joke, especially if it was her own. She was a long-time communicant of Trinity Episcopal Church in Melrose. Left to honor Monique and remember her love are her four children Beverly (Bill) Patten, Pamela (Glenn) Stinson, Robin (Stu) Richter and Sterling (Marci) Hardy as well as grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Bill, her parents, sister Jacqueline Regnier and grandson Christopher Richter. Private services will be held at a later date. Arrangements are entrusted to the Bennett Funeral Home of Concord.
