I met Margaret in the late 70s, when I first started working in the library world. She visited our library with the book mobile and I saw her at most of the library workshops and meetings I attended. I knew Margaret during the 80s.  She was always a delight to be around.  It was funny to see her and her sister match wits.  One thing I remember her saying to me, a non-football fan, even if you didn't follow the game the players certainly looked good in their uniforms. I ageed and we chuckled.  Thanks for the laughs Margaret.  You will be missed.  Love, Cathy

I am very saddened to hear of Margaret's passing. She is the most interesting person I ever met. She could tell you Any stats about many prominant sports figure dating back to the 40's maybe a little earler. She told me stories about working at the volvo tennis matches in North Conway. I could never stump her on any question about litature., and she would tell all sorts of stories about any auther I knew or even if I never heard of them, then she would just laugh at me. I loved her quirky sence of humor. I really miss our chats.

Back when Margaret ran the bookmobile out of the Keene regional office, I used to enjoy her visits to the Peterborough Town Library. I would chide her about her smoking habit, and she assured me that no germ could live in her body. When the Keene office closed and she went to work at NHSL, she'd always make me smile when I walked through the front door. 46 years at NHSL! The NH library community is richer for Margaret's dedication.

Margaret was my introduction to the State Library, and I looked forward to all the snippets she let fall with her dry wit and sharp tongue.  Whenever I think of Margaret I smile, she was such a gem of a person.

Margaret was a lovely woman who took the time to talk with me about my various research projects over the years.  I'm sorry to hear of her passing.

Margaret's wit and humor will be greatly missed.

I am glad I finally got to meet Aunt Margaret a few years ago, but wasn't sure what we would have to talk about. I told her I had just finished a book about Henry James, and her eyes lit up, and she said, "one of my favorites" . We also shared books and talks about the Brontes and we had some nice visits. I am grateful for having known her, I only got to meet her sister Mary once, before she passed away. They were both a wealth of knowledge. I hope she is at peace...
