Colleen, affectionately known as Coco by her grandchildren, was born in New York in July of 1959 to the late Gerald and Eleanor McPartlin. She spent her childhood playing with her four siblings and many cousins with whom she has spent her life building memories.
A lifelong nurse, Colleen and her husband Warren started their life together in Maryland where she worked in Labor and Delivery at Sinai Hospital in Baltimore. In 1994, they moved to New Hampshire where she continued her work for several years in Labor and Delivery at Concord Hospital before moving into the public health sector for the State of New Hampshire. Here, she served as the Section Chief of the State Immunization Program before retiring.
Colleen had a great love of books, especially children’s literature. She served on the Board of Trustees for the Baker Free Library for many years. An active member of the Seacoast Modern Quilt Guild, she was always working on a new quilting project. Her many other hobbies included biking the rail trails of New England, cross-country skiing, hiking, kayaking, and a number of other outdoor pursuits, so long as they included family. She never missed a day of Wordle with her family, Words with Friends with her brother-in-law Daniel, or an episode of Jeopardy. She loved all dogs, but especially her two golden doodles Oshie and Maisie. Most recently, Colleen had spent much of her time playing with and reading the many children’s books she’s collected over the years with her grandchildren, Thomas and Isabel.
She is survived by her loving husband Warren of Bow, with whom she shared 39 years of marriage; her children Patrick and his wife Molly Haggerty of Scarborough, ME, Kathleen and her husband Michael Kenyon of Warner, Erin Haggerty of Boston, MA; siblings Jim McPartlin and his partner Michael Casey of Manhattan, NY, Joanie and her husband Daniel Block of Edmonds, WA, Patrick McPartlin of Saratoga, NY, Amy and her husband Steven Miller of Chelmsford, MA. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Thomas Kenyon and Isabel Haggerty, as well as numerous beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, Gerald and Eleanor McPartlin, and sister Joanne McPartlin.
