Claire Theresa Blood

Claire T. Blood, 76, of Concord, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 23, 2017 after a long illness. She was born to the late Albert and Lorette Turcotte in Rochester, NH on October 22, 1940. Claire was raised in Somersworth NH and graduated from Holy Rosary High School. A longtime resident of Concord, Claire worked for the Junior Deb, NH Bankers Association and for Concord Hospital.

Claire was a loving and caring woman who enjoyed spending time with her family. She delighted in spending time with her grandchildren during the holidays and summer sleepovers. She enjoyed spending summer days at a beach, eating seafood and going shopping.

In addition to her parents, Claire is predeceased by her son, David, and her sister, Jeannette Casey.

Claire is survived by her husband of 57 years, George F. Blood, Jr.; her sons, Michael and his wife Bridget, Kenneth and his wife Silvia; her daughter, Jennifer Cossette and her husband Brian; her grandchildren, Caitlyn, Devon, Tessa, Ginger, Nevaeh, Jacob, Connor and Dylan; her sister, Irene Gelinas and her husband Dick; brother-in-law Terence Casey and brother-in-law Richard Blood and his wife Carolyn; and several nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will be held from 3pm to 5pm on Sunday, July 30, 2017 at Bennett Funeral Home, 209 North Main Street, Concord.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10am on Monday, July 31, 2017 at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 180 Loudon Road, Concord. Interment will follow at 1:30pm at Holy Trinity Cemetery, High Street, Somersworth.
