Chester "Oscar" O. Johnson

Chester was the youngest son of the late Oscar A. and Matilda C. Johnson of Concord , NH . He was predeceased by his loving wife Helen L.(Adams) Johnson as well as older siblings, Omar T. Johnson of Medford, MA and Ethel (Johnson)Wendover of Concord, NH.

He is survived by his son Arvid Johnson of Penacook; a daughter Ingrid Marsh of Chichester, NH and her husband James Marsh; and two grandsons, Ian and Brandon Marsh.

Chester was born in West Concord , NH , and after 68 years moved to Bow, NH. Chester spent 45 years of service at the Rumford Press in Concord , NH , retiring as Bindery Foreman in the early 1980’s. He was an active lifelong member of the Concordia Lutheran Church in Concord , NH and was a 50 year member of the Loyal Order of Masons, Horace Chase Lodge No. 72 in Boscawen , NH .

He was a loving husband, father, family member and loyal friend to many. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Calling hours will be held at Bennett Funeral Home, 209 N. Main St, Concord NH on Thursday, January 17th from 4-6PM.

A Funeral Service will be held on Friday the 18th, at 11:00AM at the Concordia Lutheran Church, 211 North Main St. Concord, NH followed by burial at the Maple Grove Cemetery in West Concord, NH.

Refreshments will be served at the Concordia Lutheran Church Fellowship Hall immediately following the burial.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Concordia Lutheran Church , in memory of Chester O. Johnson.
