William E. Robinson, Sr., age 68, passed away on Tuesday, August 10, 2010. He was born in Lancaster, Ohio, on July 26, 1942. He was a graduate of Liberty Union High School where he enjoyed playing football and baseball, and he continued his education at Ohio University. Bill retired from Lucent Technologies, and he was also a successful entrepreneur, owning several bowling centers, including Johnstown. He was a member of the Bowling Proprietors Association, as well as the Kiwanis Club. Bill loved spending time with his family, especially at their summer home on Indian Lake. He was a loving a dedicated husband, father, and grandfather who would have done anything for the ones he loved. He was preceded in death by his father, William Robinson. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Claudia Robinson; sons, William “Rob” Robinson Jr., and Jeffrey (Casey) O’Connor; mother, Nellie Robinson; grandchildren, Drew Robinson, Audrey Robinson, and Tyler O’Connor; and many nieces, nephews, brothers- and sisters-in-law, and friends. Family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. on Friday, August 13, 2010, at the SCHOEDINGER NORTHEAST CHAPEL, 1051 E. Johnstown Road, Gahanna. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
