Terry Joe Lester, age 53, of Columbus, Ohio passed away Friday, September 23, 2011 following a courageous battle with cancer. He was born December 20, 1957, to Marvin and Shirley (Blankenship) Lester in Pikeville, Kentucky. Following his graduation from Phelps High School, he worked for Columbus Auto Parts and then Buckeye Steel. He was a member of Pentecostal Lighthouse Church and will be remembered for his love of nature, model trains, and most importantly, for being a fun-loving husband, dad, papaw, brother and son. He is survived by his parents; wife Rebecca Jean (Epling) Lester; children, Joshua and Heather Lester, Janina, Christina and John J. Piaggio; sisters, Ellanda (Stephen) Pinkerton, Marlena (Vinson) Hartsook, Juan Delaine (David) Watkins; brother, Samuel (Maria) Lester; grandmother, Ivory Lester; mother-in-law, Flora Epling; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, McKinley Lester and Berlin and Ellen Blankenship. Family will receive friends 2-4 and 6-8pm Monday, September 26, 2011 at Schoedinger Worthington Chapel, 6699 N. High St., Worthington, OH 43085 where funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11am; Pastor Virgil Moore, officiating; entombment to follow at Kingwood Memorial Park, Lewis Center, Ohio.
